Ablavi Todo

Ablavi is originally from Togo. She joined the AWC Board in 2008, but has been involved as a member for years. Ablavi worked as a trader in Togo for twenty years and also made and sold musical instruments there. A few months before leaving for the U.S., she was a photography apprentice in Benin. In Portland, she has volunteered with a thrift store on MLK, Jr. Blvd. and with Providence Hospital. Ablavi is employed as a Food Service Assistant and enjoys helping recently arrived immigrants and refugees integrate into and feel welcome in their new communities.
